Eco Grant by Captain Planet Foundation Supports SustainUS Citizen Science Program

New York, NY – March 1, 2012 – Approximately 2 months ago, SustainUS was awarded an educational grant of $625 by the Captain Planet Foundation, an international eco-foundation for youth based on the successful Captain Planet cartoon. The grant helps youth present their scientific findings to the international community.
“We are delighted to see the dream of SustainUS become reality,” says Christina Stevens, Executive Director (Interim) of the Foundation. “Each year, our grantees make great strides in protecting and preserving our planet for the future generations and this is no exception. By educating, empowering, involving and investing in today’s youth, we can all cultivate a better tomorrow. We commend SustainUS for their work so far and challenge them to continue it.”
