Mikayla Sullivan is CEO and co-founder of KinoSol, a social good startup focused on decreasing post-harvest loss in developing countries through equipping farmers with mobile, solar food dehydrators. KinoSol aims to increase income, improve nutrition, and empower women in addition to decreasing post-harvest loss. Outside of KinoSol, Mikayla is a Junior studying Global Resource Systems (GRS) and Public Service and Administration in Agriculture, with a minor in Political Science at Iowa State University. She is also a member and previous regional director of IAAS (the International Association of Students in Agriculture and Related Sciences), president of Circle K (a volunteering club at Iowa State University), was a USA Student Ambassador at Expo Milano this past summer, is a GRS Peer Mentor, and a GRIP YSS Mentor. Upon graduation, Mikayla hopes to continue working in developing countries to improve food security, via KinoSol.
