Jonathan Pershing briefs U.S. Youth

Tuesday evening, Jonathan Pershing held a briefing for U.S. Youth, and SustainUS showed up in full force to see what he had to say and to ask a few pressing questions. He spoke about what comes next, what we need to get there, how to deal with inconsistencies, and what sort of time frame is feasible. He acknowledged that the US is "late to the game, but we are doing real things to catch up in that context."
When prompted with a question of how youth can be effective at the climate negotiations, he assured that "your voices are heard. I need you guys to be the next generation to figure out the solutions." Chair of SustainUS, Ellie Johnston and Development Director, Louise Yeung, invite Pershing to the US-China workshop we are planning for next week.
