Alexia Simonnard
Alexia has long been an environmental activist. Before college, her activism in environmental conservation ranged from volunteering at a Wolf Conservation Center, to rebuilding and presiding over Greenwich Academy's Conservation Club, to organizing a massive 6-month fundraising effort benefiting local conservation groups. Currently, she is a pre-med student at Johns Hopkins University. At Hopkins, Alexia is an active member of the Hopkins Energy Action Team (HEAT), whose efforts just this past year culminated in the approval of a proposal committing all JHU campuses to carbon neutrality. Designing a degree between Environmental Engineering and International Relations, Alexia hopes to work in international environmental policy and sustainable development.

Alexis Janosik
Alexis is currently a graduate student in the Biological Sciences Department at Auburn University. She earned her undergraduate degree in Marine Biology in 2005 from Auburn as well. Her current research takes a molecular approach at examining the phylogeography and population structure of Antarctic sea stars. Alexis has a strong interest in preserving both the terrestrial and marine environments and is passionate about helping to contribute to a more sustainable world.
