Ashlee graduated from Southern Methodist University and received her Bachelors in Dance Performance and Biology. After spending considerable time immersed in the arts, she now is transitioning into the realm of health sciences. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Human Nutrition at Columbia University, where she also is investigating sleep deprivation’s effect on brown adipose tissue thermogenesis. She is passionate about sustainable development, international nutrition policy, and maternal health. In her spare time, Ashlee loves exploring the wealth of culture in NYC, reading, and of course, dancing.
