Hailing from the flat prairie landscape of Illinois, Louise Yeung is a city planner at the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning where she works to build sustainable, equitable, and resilient communities. Strengthening channels for public engagement in decision-making processes is a continuous theme in her work, whether through youth advocacy in UN climate negotiations or resident involvement in municipal planning. Louise’s past experience includes policy research and analysis on environmental governance and community-based natural resource management at the Environmental Law Institute. After four years of involvement with SustainUS Steering Committee as Chair, Development Director, and Media Relations Coordinator, Louise is excited to serve on the Board of Directors. Louise holds a Master in City Planning degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.A. in International Affairs from George Washington University.
