Maria is currently the co-leader of the SustainUS delegation to COP21 and serves as Treasurer for the organization. She graduated from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota in 2014, where she studied Environmental Studies and Applied Mathematics. Since graduation, Maria worked on the People’s Climate March with Energy Action Coalition, campaigned in the 2014 Senate elections against the absurdity that is Joni Ernst, and co-directed Midwest Sprog this summer for the Sierra Student Coalition. Maria intends to continue political and electoral organizing for the next few years, and begin law school in 2018. Outside of work, Maria enjoys practicing yoga daily, cooking for friends, running, and adventures in the woods of northern Minnesota.
