Allison Heller is a senior at American University who is passionate about leadership development, traveling, and empowering youth and women. She is pursuing a BA in International Studies and CLEG, which is a combination of communications, law, economics, and government, as well a Certificate in Advanced Leadership Studies. During her time in college, Allison interned with the Institute for Women’s Policy Research, the Eurasia Center, and the Center for International Policy. She also completed study abroad programs over the summers and semester in Rome, Prague, and Madrid. On campus, she is co­President and co­Founder of Lean in at AU, which focuses on preparing women to be successful in the workforce. Currently Allison works as a Project Coordinator/Executive Assistant for Saving Promise, a nonprofit dedicated to domestic violence awareness and prevention, and she hopes to go into nonprofit management.
