Cholena Cree Wright is an enrolled Klamath Tribal Member from Chiloquin, Oregon. She graduated from University of Oregon in 2016 with a degree in Political Science. During her time as an undergraduate Cholena was an active student leader. Most notably, she spent her time running the UO Native American Student Union and interning for Congressman Peter Defazio. Her interests include indigenous feminism, indigenous governance, decolonization, climate justice, and political theory. She is passionate about the advancement of all women in social, political, and economic realms and draws on her personal experiences as an indigenous woman to work towards the liberation of others. In her spare time, Cholena maintains a blog about her experiences as an indigenous woman and organizes local direct action efforts.
