Elaine Colligan is the Director of the Clean Virginia Project, an initiative to promote energy democracy in Virginia state politics. Elaine is a graduate of Georgetown University, where she was a student organizer with the Kalmanovitz Initiative for Labor and the Working Poor and Trabajadores Unidos as well as the GU Fossil Free initiative. She served as the Virginia Statewide Organizer for 350.org, a distributed and field organizer for the Perriello for Governor campaign, and most recently as Project Editor for the Women Speak database, the first of its kind online platform to demonstrate women’s leadership in climate change solutions.
