Anisa is a sophomore at Mount Holyoke College pursuing a BA in Economics and Mathematics. She is from Dhaka, Bangladesh and outside of academia her interests include reading, writing, argentine tango and traveling! She feels very strongly about the status and economic empowerment of women in third world nations and had previously taken initiatives to personally mentor and bring changes in the lives of female acid victims in various rural areas of Bangladesh. She had been a delegate on behalf of SustainUS during CSW59 conference and decided to serve as the delegate yet again for CSW60. Anisa hopes to concentrate her research on the economic inequality of the average earnings of men and women in the future.
