Larissa de Paula is a sophomore at Bryn Mawr College. She is a Growth & Structure of the Cities and Political Science double major with a minor in International Studies. Brazilian and daughter of army officers, she grew up in four different cities, and believes that her interest in different points of view comes from so many changes in her life. The particular interest in women’s status comes from years of being witness of women’s prejudice and privation all over Brazil, a country that seems to be so liberal at first glance. Besides studying, Larissa is the president of the Bryn Mawr & Haverford Chapter of UNAUSA and of the Melting Pot, the Brazilian club at Bryn Mawr and Haverford. She is crazy about ballet, horse riding and parties! Larissa is very excited to be the delegation leader this year and hopes to continue working to empower women so that they can succeed and flourish in their full potential.
