Who: Youth leaders from a coalition advocating for loss and damage policy. Available for interviews:
Erica Brower, a SustainUS delegate and Loss & Damage action organizer. Erica is a researcher for the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC) and has previously worked for the Nansen Initiative, UNHCR, NRDC, and the Earth Institute.
Broderick Menke, a youth climate movement leader from the Marshall Islands and student at the College of the Marshall Islands
What: An educational presentation demonstrating the importance of addressing slow onset in climate policy. The action will illustrate the urgency to adopt loss and damage policy into the Paris agreement. The speakers will illustrate the unavoidable devastation and loss of lives and livelihoods if this policy fails to be adopted. Opportunities for interviews with the above spokespeople.
