Based outside of Burlington, VT Jon Cocina comes to SustainUS with a variety of nonprofit fundraising, business, and membership development experience. In addition to his position at SustainUS, Jon is the Vice President of Impact for the national nonprofit, EarthShare, which brings together individuals, workplaces, and communities to protect our planet’s health. Prior to that, he was a development leader with Forum for the Future, a UK-based nonprofit that works to accelerate the shift toward a just and sustainable future through the use of systems change and futures tools. Earlier in his career, Jon served as Chief Operations Officer for 1% for the Planet, a global network of businesses and individuals that support environmental nonprofits. A lifelong environmentalist, Jon believes deeply in the power of multi-stakeholder movements to influence positive change, and the urgent need for the environmental movement to bring new, younger, and more diverse voices to the table. Jon is excited to bring his experience and passion to the SustainUS network and to help scale such important work. Outside of work, you can find Jon exploring the trails and lakes of Vermont with his partner and two girls.
